Luxury Fashion- The Billion Dollar Wardrobe

When the phrase comes to mind, luxury brands, labels such as Armani, Dior, Balenciaga, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Tiffany usually pop up in your head. Let me explain what luxury means to me. Luxury brands have these common features: they are expensive and of high quality and long lasting, and there is limited availability of them in the market. You can wear a luxury brand garment several years after purchase and still get admiring glances. This is made possible by the fact that the design itself of a luxury garment is often futuristic and pleasing.

High-end items last longer than replicas because they are manufactured from high-tier materials. They are usually made in design houses that have a unique imprint on a fashion line. Anybody who buys these goods knows that the firm has the best hand skill in the industry.


Luxury items are more than amazing aesthetics or exceptional craft. There are many beautiful clothes that are crafted perfectly yet are deemed mundane as they are overly accessible. For example, Zara is a highly popular store that has multiple outlets all over the world and sells thousands of appealing items.

These products are often inexpensive and easy to obtain. Their success is great because the merchandise is so accessible. However, unlike luxury items, there is always a surplus of these products.

Another characteristic that classically delineates a luxury brand is the exceptional service that accompanies the sale. Numerous luxury brands provide their pieces to certain clients, and they always ensure that the garments are to their client’s liking. There is a lot of service satisfaction analysis so that clients do come back to see what the new collection looks like. There is no doubt that the salesperson has an idea of the client’s preferred style and measurements. This sort of service helps increase the chances of loyalty to the brand, which in a luxury brand tends to be appreciated more. And, when managed well, it helps ensure those clients do not go for shopping other brands.


Of course, there is much drama involved when new collections are showcased. An example is New York’s Fashion Week, where a number of better and luxury houses unveil the new season’s collection with much celebration. As favourite clients come back, champaign flows. So do the fashion weeks of other countries.
